Terms of Service

TradeReality (the “Service”) is an independent educational analytics platform maintained directly by its creators. It runs as a personal software project without a registered business entity and is accessible via trade-reality.com and related subdomains.

By creating an account, accessing, or using any part of the Service you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

Scope Guard: TradeReality delivers descriptive analytics and workflow tools only. It does not sell financial services, investment products, or performance-based outcomes.

You must be at least 18 years old to register and use the Service.

You are solely responsible for complying with all laws, regulations, and rules applicable to you in your jurisdiction.

• Accounts are created by email/password authentication through Supabase; email verification is required.
• You must safeguard your credentials and remain responsible for all activity under your account.
• You may delete your account at any time via in-app controls or by contacting support. We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms.

• The assistant, narratives, and insights are generated from user-provided data and platform heuristics.
• All outputs are for informational and educational use only. They are not financial, investment, or trading advice, and must not be treated as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any instrument.
• No fiduciary duty or advisor relationship exists between TradeReality and any user. You remain fully responsible for every trading or investing decision you make.

• Reality Check runs deterministic, automated analysis on the trades, journals, and preferences you submit.
• The feature relies on the accuracy and completeness of your data. We do not guarantee the timeliness, completeness, or correctness of any output.
• Use Reality Check as a reflection aid, not as a trading signal or timing tool. You must validate any interpretation independently.

• Free tier provides core journaling and analytics. Supporter (€9/month) unlocks Reality Check plus extended analytics, while Supporter Pro (€17/month, early access) adds Goal Lab features and expanded automation.
• Promo codes or token-based unlocks grant temporary access to Supporter features. Promos do not convert into subscriptions, and they expire automatically when the stated window closes.
• Supporter memberships, renewals, and cancellations are managed externally through Ko-fi. Manage billing changes directly within Ko-fi; TradeReality does not process card data.
• Donations are voluntary tips processed via Ko-fi and do not grant additional services.

• You can disable the assistant or Reality Check at any time via in-app settings. Disabling stops new insights until you re-enable the feature.
• You may delete your account or request deletion through support. We remove associated journals, trades, and preferences within a reasonable operational window, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Backups and security logs may persist for up to 90 days before automated purge. Aggregated analytics remain anonymized.

• No attempts to misuse, disrupt, or degrade the Service or its infrastructure.
• No extraction of signals, trading strategies, or automated decision systems from assistant output.
• No scraping, bulk data harvesting, or unauthorized automation.
• No reverse engineering, vulnerability probing, or abuse of rate limits.

• You retain ownership over the trades, journals, and preferences you input. Journals remain private to your account.
• We operate Supabase with row-level security so your data is scoped to your user ID.
• We may analyze or aggregate anonymized data to improve the Service, always without identifying individual users.

• We may review activity signals for abuse, fraud, or policy violations.
• We reserve the right to revoke features, disable the assistant, or suspend accounts that compromise security, harass other users, or otherwise violate these Terms.
• We may preserve relevant records when investigating abuse or complying with legal obligations.

• Markets involve risk, including the potential loss of all capital. The Service cannot eliminate market risk.
• Past performance or backtests within the platform do not guarantee future results.
• The Service is provided “as is” without express or implied warranties.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, and we are not responsible for trading losses, foregone gains, or missed opportunities that may result from using or being unable to use the Service.

We do not warrant uninterrupted access, error-free insights, or that Reality Check will surface every risk in your data. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to discontinue use and, if applicable, cancel any membership via Ko-fi.

You may terminate your account at any time through the in-app deletion flow or by contacting support.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or present security or compliance risks. Termination does not entitle you to refunds for already-processed billing cycles.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic and the applicable laws of the European Union, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be handled in the competent courts of the Czech Republic, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

• Account data: email address, authentication IDs, display name (optional).
• Usage data: trades, journal entries, goals, preferences, membership tier.
• Technical data: short-lived IP addresses, device/browser metadata needed for security logs.
• Cookies: Supabase auth cookies (HttpOnly) plus a consent cookie; no advertising or tracking cookies.

• Contract: Operating your account, memberships, and requested features.
• Consent: Optional cookies or communications you explicitly opt into.
• Legitimate interest: Security monitoring, fraud prevention, and ensuring service reliability.

• Delivering app functionality (analytics, Reality Check, Goal Lab).
• Aggregate analytics to understand feature adoption; no selling or renting of personal data.
• Security, abuse prevention, and compliance with legal obligations.

• Primary storage resides in Supabase Postgres with row-level security per user.
• Infrastructure is provisioned in EU data centers (e.g., Frankfurt) unless otherwise noted.
• HTTPS/TLS protects data in transit; Supabase provides encryption at rest. Access is limited to operational staff.

• Account data persists for the lifetime of the account.
• Upon deletion or verified request, associated trades, journals, and preferences are removed or anonymized.
• Server logs and security backups are retained for a limited window (typically 30–90 days) before automatic purge.

• Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold.
• Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure: request deletion when data is no longer needed or consent is withdrawn.
• Portability: receive data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Complaint: lodge concerns with your local supervisory authority.

• Right to know what categories of data we collect and how we use it.
• Right to request deletion of personal data subject to legal exceptions.
• No sale or sharing of personal data for monetary gain or cross-context behavioral advertising.
• No discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

• Supabase: authentication, Postgres storage, and row-level security.
• Vercel: application hosting and CDN delivery.
• Ko-fi: processes memberships/donations; we only use the email necessary to match accounts.
